AALNA is a board member of the Center for Excellence in Assisted Living (CEAL) and a member organization of the Coalition of Geriatric Nursing Organizations (CGNO).

AALNA maintains and administers the exam for Assisted Living Nurse Speciality Certification. Your membership helps to support this important work. As an AALNA member you are able to take the exam at a discounted price of only $125 (the non-member rate is $375).
- Subscription to Geriatric Nursing Journal
AALNA membership includes a one-year subscription to the Geriatric Nursing Journal, the official publication of the American Assisted Living Nurses Association. Geriatric Nursing is a comprehensive source for clinical information and management advice featuring peer-reviewed articles on the latest developments in the management of acute and chronic disorders and provides practical advice on care of older adults across the long term continuum.
- Free Subscription to NCAL Focus
Through our partnership with the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL), AALNA members receive NCAL Focus each month. Each issue of Focus will provide you with assisted living industry updates to help keep you aware of what is happening in our rapidly evolving field.

- Support for Your State Chapter
Strong and successful state chapters are critical to advancing the mission of AALNA. State chapters are actively involved in state and local issues important to assisted living nurses, including regulatory activities, policy decisions, and advocating for quality resident care. The AALNA national office supports state chapters by making funds available to help form new chapters , income from corporate sponsorships, and providing insurance coverage for state chapter officers.
